Dr. Myles Zakheim has been in private optometric practice in the Los Angeles area since 1981, when he moved from New York City. He founded OPTOMETRIX in 1987.
Trained at the New York Lighthouse for the Blind, Dr. Zakheim served on the staff of the Center for the Partially Sighted at Santa Monica Hospital, and was the Director of Eye Services at the world-renowned Pritikin Longevity Center.
A contact lens specialist, Dr. Zakheim has provided the Hollywood community with special effects lenses, custom eyewear and professional eyewear services for more than a decade. A staff of contact lens technicians and optical fashion consultants support Dr. Zakheim on all projects.
Dr. Zakheim contributes eyecare services and eyewear to the homeless through the nonprofit organizations, On Your Feet and Delancy Street Foundation.
